Speed limits and the speed you choose
MTO Driver’s Handbook: Safe and Responsible Driving, Obey speed limits
Obey the maximum speed limit posted on the signs along the road, but always drive at a speed that will let you stop safely. In bad weather, in heavy traffic or in a construction zone that means below the posted maximum, and school zones and construction zones often post a lower limit to protect children and the people who work on or near the road.
