Driving where people work on the road
MTO Driver’s Handbook: Safe and Responsible Driving, Workers on the road
Be extra careful when you drive through construction zones and areas where people are working on or near the road. Proceed with caution and obey all warning signs, and the people or devices directing traffic through the area. Lower speed limits are often posted to increase worker safety and to reflect the increased hazards, such as construction vehicles, uneven or gravel surfaces and narrowed lanes.
