Warning signs warn of dangerous or unusual conditions ahead, such as a curve, a turn, a dip or a sideroad. They are usually diamond-shaped, with a yellow background and black letters or symbols.

Among the conditions they warn you about:

a narrow bridge, a road branching off, or pavement narrowing ahead
a slight bend or a sharp bend ahead; chevron arrowhead signs are posted in groups to guide you around the sharp curve
