Parking on a hill
MTO Driver’s Handbook: Safe and Responsible Driving, Parking on a hill
Parking facing downhill, turn the front wheels toward the curb or the right shoulder, so that the vehicle does not roll into traffic if the brakes are released or fail.
Facing uphill at a curb, turn the steering wheel to the left so the wheels point toward the road: if the vehicle rolls back, the tires catch the curb.
